Airport Service

Arlanda Airport is located approximately 40 kilometres from the city of Stockholm.
To and from Arlanda:
Train: The Arlanda Express trains run every 15 minutes between the airport terminals and Stockholm’s Central Station. The journey takes 20 minutes and costs SEK 180 for one-way. During the summer there is a special price of SEK 200 for two persons travelling together. Kids up to 17 travel for free with adults. Buy your ticket before you enter the train. On the train there is an extra fee of SEK 50.
Taxi: We recommend that you request a fixed price from the airport to the city (SEK 360-390).
Bus: There is a direct bus (airport coach) connection to the City Terminal adjacent to the Central Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs SEK 89 for a one-way ticket. Kids up to 17 travel for free with parents. Buses leave the airport every 10 minutes. Sometimes the closest airport coach stop is not close enough. In that case, the FlygbussarnaTaxi service can help you to order a taxi that will “close the gap” between your location and the airbus coach stop. Ask the bus driver, or at the bus-ticket counter, for "FlygbussTaxi". Cost: SEK 110 (+ SEK 89 for the busticket).
(All prices as per July 2002).

Skavsta Airport If you fly with Ryanair (inside Europe only) you will arrive at Skavsta airport, a very small airport close to the town Nyköping. There is an Airport Coach to Stockholm that takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to Cityterminalen (the Central Train station) downtown Stockholm. The price for the bus is SEK 130, one way. You can buy a return ticket for SEK 199. Kids below 12 years old travel for free with adults. The bus departs shortly (approx. 30 min:) after every Ryanair flight arrival. Be careful not to miss the bus - there might not be another one. The bus waits for delayed flights. Detailed information how to get to and from the airport can be found on its homepage: htto://www.skavsta-air.se. Timetables for the coach can be found at http://www.flygbussarna.com/flygbussarna/en/index.html
Taxi from Skavsta to Stockholm is very expensive, at least 1000 SEK! (over 100 Euro). You should always make an agreement about the fare before you take a taxi! An alternative is to take a taxi to Nyköping (10 minutes and around 120 SEK) and then the train to Stockholm. There is approximately one train each hour to Stockholm (daytime), schedules can be found at www.sj.se.
